Let's talk about ... the evolution of an idea.⁠

⁠In this short video, I run through audio snippets of each of the 5 major revisions of Lunatic Calm's Leave You Far Behind, starting with the Balearic vibe of the very first recorded version of it from late 1995 and finishing with the 2021 Reboot.⁠

We can learn so much from looking at differing revisions of songs we've written. What motivated us to change direction? Did the song already exist somewhere in space & time? Was our job simply to draw it out of itself and 'find it'? Can a song exist in multiple iterations or does there have to be one *fixed* variant?⁠

It's certainly fascinating to see how ideas form and what the creative process looks like over time. ⁠
