Leave You Far Behind (2025 Remake)

Before The Shadowmaker, before Elite Force, and before sync placements took my music across the globe, there was Lunatic Calm.

And at the heart of Lunatic Calm was Leave You Far Behind — a snarling, adrenalized anthem that carved its name into the late ’90s underground, only to explode into pop culture via The Matrix, Mortal Kombat, Charlie’s Angels, Drive, and countless others. It was chaotic, cinematic, ferocious. It still is.

And now, it’s back.

This 2025 Remake isn’t a simple remaster or polish. It’s a full-blown resurrection. Every element of this track - from the distorted riffs to the guttural bass and volatile drums - has been rebuilt from the ground up. With no original session files to rely on, I dug into old floppy disks, hunted down my Nord Rack, and re-engineered the DNA of the track from scratch. What followed was a meticulous nine-day production process, recreating a song that had long outgrown its original skin.

The video took even longer - a labor of love stitched together from over 500 AI-generated frames, blending glitch-art surrealism with the cold neon glow of Blade Runner-esque dystopias. Every moment was edited manually, frame by frame, to match the kinetic energy of the music and to honour the DIY ethos that always defined Lunatic Calm.

This release isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about renewal.

The track stands firmly in the now: a brutal fusion of breakbeat and bass music, with one foot in the past and one boot kicking hard into the future.

It also serves as an introduction to More Lunatic Than Calm (Vol. 1) - a long-awaited compilation of obscure, rare, and previously unheard tracks arriving in August 2025. If you were ever swept up in the chaos of Lunatic Calm, this will feel like coming home - and if you weren’t, there’s never been a better time to step into the storm.
