This 15-track compilation features the very best of Simon’s dancefloor-friendly output under his full name. These tracks were all created to inject the world of house music with a sense of emotion and passion, rather than rely on the pure functionality of ‘the beat’ to carry the tune.
Every album purchase via Bandcamp comes with three bonus tracks. The album itself contains two previously unreleased tracks in ‘Lux Aeterna’ and ‘Fyar’. ‘HEART & SOUL’ will be available from 20th December 2019 via all major streaming and download outlets.
“So much dance music is both inherently conservative and yet fiercely tribal. I find most DJs are comfortable with a simple, unified sound, and once they’ve found that, they tend to stay within very narrow tramlines. They seem to buy into sonic uniformity. From my perspective, it also makes things rather predictable. This collection is really about being fearless with my creative spirit and caring more about musicality than conformity. I’ve seen some of my greatest dancefloor highs playing these tracks out.”
