This 2020 commercial was created by Halal.Amsterdam and commissioned by both Gstar Raw and Zalando. The brief was to create something edgy with ‘real push & drive’ from the rhythms. They wanted a simple intro and steady build-up throughout the spot, a break for the elevator scene and then a heavier, more powerful playout leading to the branding point in the last seconds of the ad. 

The final deadlines were somewhat brutal and I wound up working without a break from 7pm through to midday the following day to deliver everything on time. I kind of love the pressure that brings, and I certainly love the catharsis you feel when you deliver and all parties are delighted with the way it turned out.
