Essential Beats Part2

This week sees the launch of ‘Essential Beats Part2’ on Producertech.

In this in-depth music production course (using Ableton Live), the focus is squarely on drums, and how to build compelling loops from the ground up. I use sampled loops as well as individual drum hits to create layered grooves that will become the bedrock of your productions.

In the first part of the course I looked at creating a jackin’ house groove, but this time around the focus is on Nu Disco and Electronica/Breakbeat.

An essential part of my tuition style is gaining a better understanding of the ‘WHY’ behind the production choices we make, and not just the ‘HOW’. This course answers both of those questions and will truly help you to master the art of music production.
