ELITE FORCE - Engine (Redux)
Engine (Redux) is officially out in the world.
This one’s been an interesting journey because it started less as a remix project and more as a question: what would happen if I took one of the older Elite Force tracks and rebuilt it completely from scratch using everything I’ve learned over the last 15+ years?
The original version of Engine came out back in 2008, but somewhere in the middle of making Reverie and spending so much time immersed in more cinematic and introspective territory, I found myself wanting to reconnect with something heavier and more physical again. What emerged feels deeper, darker, more spacious and much more emotionally layered than the original version ever was.
There’s still DNA from the original underneath it all - fractured breakbeats, propulsion, tension - but it’s now pulling from a very different emotional and sonic landscape altogether. The production leans into late-night urban atmosphere, acid-soaked textures, cinematic space and a much more stripped-back sense of movement.
A huge amount of work went into this one, both musically and visually, and I’m genuinely really happy with how it turned out.
Engine (Redux) is available now across all streaming platforms alongside a newly created visualizer piece built around the fragmented monochrome imagery that has started to define this next Elite Force chapter.
