Chromium Towers (Elite Force Remix) is out now.
The original version of Chromium Towers came out earlier this year under my own name. Somewhere along the way I started wondering what would happen if I took that slower, more reflective piece and rebuilt it from the ground up as an Elite Force track.
So I doubled the tempo to 140 BPM, pulled the arrangement apart and started again. What emerged still has the piano and ethereal vocals at its heart, but now sits in a very different space - lush, melodic breakbeat that feels both new and strangely familiar to me.
I played the finished remix during the first revived Strongarm Sessions at the weekend, and today it’s properly out in the world.
