Elite Force Mixtape - February 2023
This new mixtape is designed to showcase my unmistakable Elite Force sound - a hypnotic blend of breakbeat, techno and electro that’s been crafted into unique and seamless new forms.
I’ve been hearing a lot of breaks used in dance music these days which has really inspired me and reignited my love of the genre. But one thing I’ve found is that a lot of the music I’ve been discovering is a little too obscure and introspective for an Elite Force set, prioritising listening over dancing. I love all kinds of music but because EF is meant to make you move, I decided to create a mix that captures the immersive, high-energy experience of techno while incorporating my love for this style of breaks.
I’ll be returning to the stage as Elite Force in 2023 and this set is a tantalising taste of what’s to come. It features 24 tracks, including no fewer than 11 Elite Force VIP edits, along with a number of acapellas and acidapellas (yes, I just made that up) culled from my extensive sound library. The tracks have been pulled apart, rearranged, and infused with a liberal dose of breakbeat-techno-electro love to create a sound that is truly unique.
This compulsive one-hour journey perfectly encapsulates the kind of Elite Force sets you'll be hearing in the live arena in 2023, as I make a welcome return to the fray after a four-year absence.
